Marta Garo-Pascual organized on the 10th of February an activity to celebrate the Internation day of Women and Girl in Science, at C.R.A Campos Castellanos school, were she used to be a student. The activity was “Why do we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girl in Science?”. First, she encouraged a debate amongst the students (all years and levels, from preeschol to highschool) about the necesity to give recognition and rise awareness on women’s jobs. The second part of the talk was focused on the life and discoveries of Jane Doodall, whose studies related to chimapncees were ground-breaking.
This activity was impulsed as a collaboration related to the 11F initiative.
